Documentation

Everything StreamerHub.gg can do and how to set it up – from your first overlay to the Stream Deck.

This documentation explains every part of StreamerHub.gg – in the order you need it while setting up. At the very bottom are all elements of the editor and all features of the plans; those lists come straight from the platform and are always up to date.

First steps

  1. Sign in – with the "Sign in" button at the top right. There is no password of its own.
  2. Connect your platforms – under Settings → Connections you link Twitch, Kick and the other platforms. That is not a second sign-in: StreamerHub.gg only reads what it needs for alerts, chat and statistics.
  3. Create an overlay – under Overlays, from a template or empty. The editor opens right away.
  4. Add it to OBS – copy the address of the overlay and add it in OBS as a Browser source (width and height like the overlay, usually 1920 × 1080).
  5. Test – choose "Test" at the top of the editor: follow, sub, tip … appear in the editor and the preview, never in the real stream.

Overlays and editor

An overlay is a canvas with layers – like in an image editor. The layers are on the left, the canvas in the middle, the settings of the chosen layer on the right, the elements to add at the bottom.

  • Move, size, rotate with the mouse or the arrow keys (Shift = 10 pixels). Rulers, grid, centre cross and guides help aligning; elements snap by themselves.
  • Several layers can be selected, grouped, aligned and made the same size – also from the right-click menu.
  • Design styles give every element a whole design language (glass, retro, terminal, neon …). Colours and font stay adjustable.
  • Effects: fade in, endless animation, shadow, filters – for every element.
  • Saving happens by itself. Open OBS sources take every change at once.
  • ? or F1 in the editor shows the keyboard shortcuts.

A single element can also be a browser source of its own (Widgets → As a single widget), for example a chat you use in several scenes.

Alerts

Alerts are shown by the alert box – an element like any other. Without an alert box in the overlay there are no alerts.

  • In the alert box you choose which events it shows (per platform), and under Per event title, subtitle, minimum amount, duration, sound, image and colour per event.
  • Read aloud: messages or the line of the alert are read out – per event. The voices are in the list, their usage below the field.
  • Control during the stream: pause, skip, replay and "mute" under Activity or in the activity dock.
  • Tests never appear in OBS – only in the editor and on the preview address.

Chat and multi-chat

  • The multi-chat element shows the chat of every connected platform in one window – with emotes (7TV, BTTV, FFZ too), badges, replies and event lines.
  • Under Chat you read, write and moderate yourself: as you or as the chatbot, on one or all platforms. A click on a name shows the viewer's card, a click on a link checks where it really leads.
  • "Hide commands" and "Hide bots" keep the chat in the stream clean.

Chatbot

The chatbot answers on every connected platform – under Chatbot you switch it on per platform.

  • Commands: your own commands with several triggers, placeholders ({user}, {target} …), role, cooldowns and platforms.
  • Timers: texts at fixed intervals – never into an empty chat.
  • Notifications, games, moderation: ready-made modules like the live announcement, roulette, duel, spam filter and votekick.

Docks for OBS

Docks are small windows for OBS (View → Docks → Custom browser docks): activity, chat and stream (title, category, quick actions). Their address is under Docks. The first time it opens, a dock shows a code – type it in under Docks → Unlock a dock. After that the dock stays signed in.

Coins, shop and giveaways

  • Viewers collect coins for chatting, watching and events. !coins, !top and !give work by themselves.
  • In the shop they trade coins for rewards (!shop, !buy 2) – with an alert and a sound if you like.
  • Giveaways run on a keyword in the chat; the draw is one click, the winner shows in the overlay.
  • Who should not count (you, bots) is set under Coins → Who does not count.

Profile, tips and earnings

  • Your profile page (/@name) shows your profile, links, commands, shop, leaderboard and – when switched on – the tip page.
  • Tips go to the platform; your share becomes credit under Earnings. After the holding period you request the payout there.
  • Under Profile & tips you set amounts, goal, review before the stream and sounds for supporters.

Plugin hub and Stream Deck

The Plugin hub lists the plugins for devices like the Elgato Stream Deck – with a guide and the link to install. Next to it you create an access key; the plugin asks for it on its first start. Then you control alerts, marathon, counters, giveaways and more right from your device.

Account, plan and language

  • Under Plan you see what your plan includes and change it. Prices are in your currency (switch it at the top).
  • Language, design (light/dark) and currency are switched in the header – they apply at once.
  • Under Settings → Account you reload your profile or sign out.
